The Oceanside Media Club of Vancouver Island is an informal group of current and retired media professionals from various media outlets (broadcast and print) throughout Canada, as well as writers, graphic designers, and creators of digital and electronic media.

The club is strictly social in nature - no membership fees, no formal meetings, no minutes kept and no identifiable cause to support. The intention is to hold monthly social events for the sake of getting together over good food and drink to connect (or re-connect) with others of similar backgrounds or work experiences in order to tell lies, exchange stories, and discuss the various medications we're taking!

Membership is informal and open to media professionals of every ilk, as well as those of no ilk at all.

The Qualicum Beach Museum houses one of the finest paleontology collections in British Columbia. It also features exhibits detailing the history of Qualicum Beach and its environs.
